If you are looking for serious power gains and exquisite sound, your search is now over. 42 Draft Designs FSI/TSI turbo-back exhaust systems provide instant results: significant horsepower and torque gains, high performance sound, and worry-free fitment. More than just a pile of pipes, 42DD turbo-back systems are precision fabricated from CNC machined flanges, CNC mandrel bent piping, Magnaflow mufflers, and mirror polished tips. The result of 42 Draft Designs meticulous metalworking is a heavy duty exhaust system that fits like it should and outperforms the competition.

Modular by design, 42 Draft Designs turbo-back systems offer endless configuration options. Starting with the downpipe, 42DD systems are available in street or race configurations. Street series systems include a Magnaflow 200 cell catalytic converter. Race series systems include a test pipe. On race day the cat can be easily swapped for a test pipe. An optional resonator provides a more mellow exhaust note. The cat-back portion of the 42DD system is available in 2.5" or 3" piping. 3" piping is typically preferred for all-out power while 2.5" offers a more refined sound and powerband. A choice of two tip styles lets you choose the look you love.

The 42 Draft Designs FSI/TSI turbo-backs are technically a combination of our 3" downpipes and our 2.5" & 3" cat-backs. 42 Draft Design downpipes and cat-backs can't boast on their own is power gain. 42 Draft Designs extensively tested a daily driver FSI with a long list of exhaust configurations. This list represents a true evolution of exhaust modifications - from a resonator delete, to a downpipe, and followed by numerous cat-backs. 42 Draft Designs found every exhaust modification to be worthwhile, but maximum gains were found using the 42DD 3" turbo-back. No power losses have been felt, and boost holds out longer with the stock turbocharger.

42 Draft Designs cat-backs are manufactured from scratch in Millersville, MD. 42 Draft Designs use high quality American made materials throughout their exhaust systems, manufacturing in-house every component possible. When necessary to outsource, American companies are chosen who manufacture their products in the USA. 42DD systems are built in our 4000 sq/ft facility by a team of 7 machinists, fabricators, and TIG welders trained to complete each system with exacting precision. 42 Draft Designs TIG welders take their time, welding each joint with care. From design to manufacturing 42 Draft Designs never rush, cut corners, or take shortcuts.

V-Band Flanges

42 Draft Designs now offers v-band connection flanges with the stainless steel exhaust systems. Compared to 3-bolt flanges, exhaust systems built with v-band flanges are easier to install and adjust. V-band connections don't require a gasket, and can be serviced with a single tool. Overall, v-band flanges speed-up initial install and race-day component changes.

These V-band flanges are CNC machined from 304 stainless steel. Using a male/female fitment specification for the flanges aids in sealing the connection. Due to the material cost and manufacturing time, v-bands will remain a premium option.
