For a lot of Audi enthusiasts than waiting, it's finally here. APR released the transmission control unit (TCU) upgrade for the DL501 Gen 1, Gen 1.5 and Gen 2 S Tronic transmissions, available for 3.0 TFSI platform vehicles and conveniently flashed to the vehicle’s TCU through the OBD-II port.

APR announced version 2.0 Stage I and Stage II ECU Upgrades for the B8.5 S4 and S5 3.0 TFSI platform. The latest updates include: smoother operation, increased torque and horsepower across the entire power band. Looking for numbers? With the ECU Upgrade alone, APR’s Calibration Experts measured higher peak figures of 372 ft-lbs of torque and 444 horsepower with 93 AKI octane fuel.
APR also announced version 3.0 Stage I and Stage II ECU Upgrades for the B8 S4 and S5 3.0 TFSI platform. With the ECU Upgrade alone, APR’s Calibration Experts measured higher peak figures of 375 ft-lbs of torque and 441 horsepower with 93 AKI octane fuel.
APR released their ECU upgrade for the 1.8T EA888 Gen 3 engine. APR’s ECU Upgrade increases boost pressure, optimizes ignition timing, cam timing, lambda and more to produce higher output in terms of horse and torque. A stage 1 tune on 93 AKI can yield 242 hp and 293 torque (an increase of 68 hp and 99 tq over stock performance).
